Lift-Off Distance Test

Lift-off distance (LOD) is the height above your mousepad where the sensor stops tracking — there's no browser API that can measure this, it requires a physical test. This tool only does the arithmetic for you once you've run the test yourself:

1. Stack the item you chose below under one edge of your mouse.
2. Move the mouse slightly side to side while watching the cursor.
3. Add one item at a time until the cursor stops tracking (freezes).
4. Count how many items were stacked at that point and enter it below.

This is arithmetic on a measurement you take yourself, not something the browser measured directly — real LOD also varies slightly by surface material.
