Overview
Dhatas Tools ("we", "us") provides free and paid document and file tools. This page explains what data we collect, how it's used, and — just as importantly — what we deliberately don't collect, since most of our tools are designed to process your files entirely in your browser.
What we collect
Account data. If you create an account, we store your name, email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
Saved documents. If you save a quotation, invoice, receipt or purchase order while signed in, its contents (including any logo you upload) are stored in our database so you can retrieve it later from "My Documents."
Anonymous usage. If you use the quotation/invoice/receipt/purchase order tools without an account, we record your IP address and a request count to enforce a daily free-usage limit. This record is not linked to any personal identity and resets automatically after 24 hours.
Session cookie. When you log in, we set a single HttpOnly cookie containing a signed session token, used only to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
What we do not collect
Merge PDF, Split PDF, Compress PDF, Sign PDF, Background Remover, Marketplace Image Resizer, the Text Summarizer and the JSON/SQL/Regex developer tools all run entirely in your browser. The files or text you work with in these tools are never uploaded to our servers — we have no copy of them and cannot see their contents.
How we use your data
Account and document data is used solely to operate the service: authenticating you, displaying your saved documents, and processing plan upgrades. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Payments
Payments are currently processed in test mode — no real money is charged, and no card or bank details are collected by us. When a live payment gateway is connected, this policy will be updated to name the processor and describe what payment data it handles (we never store full card numbers ourselves).
Document retention
You can delete any saved document yourself at any time from "My Documents."
If your account isn't on an active paid plan, each saved document is automatically deleted 60 days after it was created. Subscribing to any paid plan protects every document on your account — past and future — for as long as the subscription stays active; letting it lapse resumes the 60-day countdown from each document's original creation date. "My Documents" shows the days remaining for anything that isn't protected.
